LUSAKA, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Wednesday:

-- A traditional leader and her subjects have rejected the Zambian government's proposal to build a nuclear plant in their chiefdom.

Chieftainess Nkomeshya and the Soli people of Chongwe district in Lusaka Province threw out government's intended plan to build the plant during a stakeholders' meeting, with the traditional leader saying the people have rejected the project not only because it was alien but because they were not consulted.
