TUNIS, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- The President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti announced that EBRD's next Regional Investment Summit will be held in Tunisia in November 2019.

The cooperation with Tunisia is symbolic and important for the EBRD which supports Tunisia's economy, said Chakrabarti.

According to Chakrabarti, the EBRD will continue to support Tunisian economic and financial policy by financing a series of projects launched in the interior regions of the country and supporting Tunisian small and medium-sized enterprises by allowing them access to African and European markets.

Since 2012, the EBRD has invested around 640 million euros (790 million U.S. dollars), covering 32 projects in Tunisia. Enditem
