NAIROBI, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenya's major media outlets on Tuesday.
-- Security officers in Nairobi were on Monday piecing together details of a plot to bomb the city, and cordoned off a room in a prime hotel where the would-be terrorists booked since Feb. 9.
The terror plot was foiled by police officers in Merti, Isiolo County, on Thursday last week, but the possible scale of devastation is just emerging.
It is not clear where the suspects were planning to attack but anti-terror police officers said improvised explosive devices and grenades recovered from the suspects would have been powerful enough to bring down more than one multi-storeyed building. (Daily Nation)
