Taliban attack kills 4 in N. Afghanistan province

KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- A total of four people including a civilian were killed as they came under Taliban attack in Qala-e-Zal district of Afghanistan's northern Kunduz province on Monday, district governor Abdul Momin Omarkhil said Tuesday.

A group of Taliban militants, according to the official, stormed Sakhsa Kol area in Qala-e-Zal district on Monday afternoon killing four people including one civilian and three pro-government militias.

Taliban militants, however, claimed responsibility and in contact with media asserted that all those killed in the attack were police personnel. Enditem
