Dollar changes hands in upper 106 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 106 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, marginally higher from its levels in London overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 106.72-73 yen compared with 106.45-55 yen in London at 4:00 p.m. and 106.56-57 yen in Tokyo on Monday at 5:00 p.m.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2399-2399 dollars and 132.31-32 yen against 1.2385-2395 dollars and 132.00-05 yen in London and 1.2412-2413 dollars and 132.27-31 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
