Greece close to get new loans: Eurogroup chief

BRUSSELS, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Greece has made "tremendous efforts" and is close to get a new disbursement of loans from its euro zone creditors, Eurogroup chief Mario Centeno said on Monday.

"Of all 110 prior actions, only 2 are still outstanding, which are outside the control of the government. I'm confident that they can be cleared soon by the institutions," Centeno said at a news conference after a meeting of eurozone finance ministers.

"The ball is also on our side now. National procedures will be needed to approve the disbursement of 5.7 billion euros (7.07 billion U.S.dollars) once the institutions validate the completion of the pending prior actions," Centeno added. Enditem
