Spanish shares drop 0.26 pct Monday

MADRID, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 0.26 percent or 25.90 points, to close at 9,806.20 points.

A total of 23 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

Telecommunication company Cellnex fell 1.65 percent, being the top loser of the day, followed by global operator of services and infrastructure Ferrovial and hotel chain Melia Hotels that lost 1.45 percent and 1.43 percent respectively.

Stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox advanced 5.50 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas rose 2.13 percent and steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal was up 1.41 percent. Enditem
