Strandja boxing tournament kicks off in Bulgaria

SOFIA, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- The 69th edition of the Strandja, the oldest international boxing tournament in Europe, kicked off here in the Sofia hall on Monday.

Some 250 boxers from nearly 30 countries and regions, including China, participate in the seven-day competition.

The semifinals will be on Saturday and the finals are scheduled for Sunday.

Last year at the 68th edition of "Strandja", the Chinese boxers won two gold, one silver and two bronze medals, while in 2016 they won three gold, two silver and one bronze medals. Enditem
