British stocks down 0.64 pct Monday

LONDON, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down 47.04 points or 0.64 percent at 7,247.66 points.

Evraz, an international steel and mining company, soared 4.41 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Standard Life Aberdeen and International Consolidated Airlines Group rose by 2.39 percent and 1.32 percent, respectively.

Reckitt Benckiser Group, a British health, hygiene and home products producer, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 7.51 percent. Shire, the global specialty biopharmaceutical company, dropped 2.86 percent. Micro Focus International, the British software and information technology business, dropped 2.83 percent. Enditem
