German shares lose 0.53 pct Monday

FRANKFURT, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 66.36 points, or 0.53 percent, to close at 12,385.60 points.

German automotive manufacturer Daimler lost the most among the blue chips, down by 2.19 percent, followed by housing association Vonovia and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel, which lost 1.75 percent and 1.61 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank, energy group RWE and airlines Lufthansa were the top three winners, rising by 2.39 percent, 1.84 percent and 1.19 percent respectively.

Daimler was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 335.66 million euros (416.55 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
