Dollar changes hands in lower 106 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 106 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, largely unchanged from its levels late last week in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 106.28-29 yen compared with 106.26-36 yen in New York and 106.01-02 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2411-2412 dollars and 131.90-97 yen against 1.2414-2424 dollars and 131.98-132.08 yen in New York and 1.2528-2530 dollars and 132.81-85 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Enditem
