CAIRO -- The Egyptian army killed seven terrorists in restive North Sinai province northeastern the capital Cairo as part of Egypt's recently launched "Sinai 2018" comprehensive anti-terror campaign, the military spokesman announced on Saturday.

The military forces killed total 63 terrorists in the northern and central parts of the Sinai Peninsula since the large-scale counterterror operation started on Feb. 9, while the police simultaneously killed 13. (Egypt-Sinai-Anti-terror)

TRIPOLI -- The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) on Saturday stressed commitment to work for the success of Libya's political process.

"UNSMIL renews its commitment to work with all across Libya to advance the political process, end the succession of transitions and enter a stage of certainty through a constitutional framework; credible elections and national reconciliation," the Mission said in a message on the seventh anniversary of the Libyan uprising that toppled former leader Gaddafi's regime. KHARTOUM -- Sudan on Saturday announced delay of a tripartite meeting on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) that was scheduled to be held in Khartoum during Feb. 24-25.

"In response to a request by the Ethiopian side, a tripartite meeting on the GERD, which was scheduled to be hosted by Khartoum at its technical and ministerial levels during current Feb. 24-25, has been decided to be postponed to a later date to be agreed on by the three countries (Sudan, Egypt and Ethiopia)," said Sudan's Foreign Ministry in a statement. JERUSALEM -- The Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter jets targeted a total of six military targets in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, in response to the detonation of an explosive device on the border fence in southern Gaza.

These specific military targets belonging to the Hamas organization were attacked, according to a statement issued by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday evening. (Israel-Gaza- Airstrikes) Enditem
