Israeli airstrikes hit Hamas facilities in response to bombing attack

Xinhua,February 18, 2018 Adjust font size:

GAZA, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Israeli war jets struck Hamas military facilities in the Gaza Strip on Saturday evening in response to an earlier roadside bombing targeting an Israeli army vehicle, local sources said.

Several huge explosions were heard in eastern Gaza city, and eyewitnesses said two Hamas military facilities were bombarded by Israeli war jets.

Local paramedics said no injuries were reported.

Earlier in the afternoon, an Israeli tank fired a shell at a Hamas military post in Gaza in retaliation for the same incident.

Meanwhile, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack on the Israeli army vehicle, which wounded three Israeli soldiers. Enditem
