MEXICO CITY -- A powerful earthquake has shaken southern Mexico on Friday afternoon as people fled out of buildings in capital Mexico City when the ground was shaking.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake was measured 7.5 on the Richter scale 4 km south of Pinotepa de Don Luis with the epicenter at a depth of 10 km. (Mexico-Earthquake)

LAGOS -- At least 22 people were killed and 28 injured when three suicide bombers carried out an attack at a market in Nigeria's northeastern Borno state on Friday, the official News Agency of Nigeria reported Saturday.

The attacks occurred late on Friday, when three suicide bombers detonated explosives at the Kasuwar Kifi, in the outskirts of Konduga town, the report said. (Nigeria-Suicide-Death)

ROME -- Two members of the Alpine Rescue Corps died and a third survived after an avalanche struck in the Alps on Friday afternoon, the Corps said.

WASHINGTON -- The Rick Scott, Governor of Florida state, urged Friday the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to resign in the wake of the agency's admission that it failed to follow up on an earlier tip over the shooter who killed 17 people in a Florida high school.
