NAIROBI, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenya's major media outlets on Saturday.

-- The Auditor-General is now free to audit billions of shillings annually allocated to the National Intelligence Service, Kenya Defense Force and National Police Service.

This is after the High Court declared section 40 of the Public Audit Act Number 34 of 2015 on the auditing of national security organs and dozens of others within the Act as inconsistent with the provisions of the constitution.

The court declared unconstitutional the entire section which required the Auditor-General to hold an inception meeting at the highest level before audit. (Saturday Nation)

-- President Uhuru Kenyatta told his new Cabinet to deliver or face the sack as he witnessed the swearing-in of nine secretaries in Nairobi on Friday. He made it clear that there would be no room for laxity in his administration. (Saturday Standard)
