German shares gain 0.86 pct Friday

FRANKFURT, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 105.79 points, or 0.86 percent, to close at 12,451.96 points.

Housing association Vonovia won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.06 percent. Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel and energy group E.ON rose by 2.60 percent and 1.95 percent respectively.

Commerzbank lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 0.91 percent. Multinational chemical firm Linde and reinsurance company Munich Re down by 0.83 percent and 0.55 percent respectively.

Insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 454.13 million euros (566.00 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
