Spanish shares gain 1.21 pct Friday

MADRID, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Friday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 1.21 percent, or 117.20 points, to close at 9,832.10 points.

A total of 32 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.

Telecommunication company Cellnex advanced 3.16 percent, followed by real estate company Merlin Properties and global operator of services and infrastructure Ferrovial that rose 2.09 percent and 2.05 percent respectively.

Hotel chain Melia Hotels lost 1.32 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa was down 0.32 percent and consultancy and technology company Indra A went down 0.18 percent respectively. Enditem
