LUSAKA, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Friday.

-- Zambian Vice-President Inonge Wina says the government will champion good corporate governance principles as fundamental ingredients for growing the country's economy.

The Zambian vice-president said tenets of good corporate governance were key to fighting corruption in the country. (Daily Nation)

-- A team from the European Union (EU) met with refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at a transit center in Zambia's Nchelenge district in Luapula Province to familiarize itself on the challenges they were facing.

EU Ambassador to Zambia Alessandro Mariani, who led the team, said the EU was happy with Zambia's decision to welcome the refugees and expressed happiness over the work being done to take care of the refugees. (News Diggers)
