NAIROBI, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- The following are the news highlights in Kenyan media outlets on Friday.

-- Accusations of betrayal over the Jan. 30 swearing-in of National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga as the People's President and lingering ambitions for a stab at the presidency in 2022 are threatening to break the opposition coalition, a year after it was formed.

A resolve by ruling Jubilee Party to break the coalition by March is worsening an already bad situation. Parties within NASA are currently bickering as they focus on strengthening themselves individually ahead of the next elections putting the future of the coalition at risk. (Daily Nation)

-- Opposition MPs on Thursday accused the ruling party Jubilee of scheming to weaken the Judiciary and remove the Chief Justice from office so that they can get a favorable person. Jubilee wrote a letter to the Chief Justice accusing courts of favoring opposition in rulings. (The Standard)

-- The electoral commission wants parliament to allocate it 80 million U.S. dollars to conduct a second review of the ward and constituency boundaries within four years. The review process is set to start this month until August 2021. (The Star) Enditem
