Spanish shares gain 0.37 pct Wednesday

MADRID, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Wednesday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.37 percent or 35.50 points, to close at 9,686.20 points.

A total of 22 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa advanced 4.62 percent, followed by hotel chain Melia Hotels and media company Mediaset that rose 2.61 percent and 2.20 percent respectively.

Consultancy and technology company Indra A lost 2.18 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas fell 1.23 percent and Spain's energy company Repsol went down 1.04 percent. Enditem
