RAMALLAH, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) said Wednesday that 31 Palestinians were arrested in pre-dawn raids throughout the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The PCC said in a statement that most of those arrested are children under 18 years old and the raids were launched north of Jerusalem.

Palestinian sources said that the school students were suffocated over tear gas grenades thrown by Israeli forces towards an elementary school in Dura village near the southern city of Hebron.

Israeli forces often carry out night raids in Palestinian cities and villages, leading to clashes between local youth and Israeli forces. Enditem
