Shaanxi expects more snow during holiday

XI'AN, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Shaanxi Province is likely to have more snow during the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year holiday, the provincial meteorological bureau said Wednesday.

From Feb. 17 to 21, central and northern parts of the province will see a temperature drop from 4 to 6 degrees centigrade.

Rain and snow are likely and the temperature will rise from Feb. 22, said Liu Yong, from the Shaanxi Meteorological Bureau.

The bureau advises people to stay warm and drive safely during the holiday.

The Chinese Lunar New Year falls on Feb. 16 this year. Enditem
