Solution needed for long-term migration to Europe: EU's Tusk

Xinhua,February 14, 2018 Adjust font size:

VIENNA, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- European Council President Donald Tusk on Tuesday said a solution for long-term migration to Europe should be found, making sure the EU is together in resolving the issue without creating divisions.

Tusk told reporters during an official visit that long-term migration to Europe is still a challenge.

After a meeting with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, Tusk said he had similar views on the issue as the young Austrian leader.

Kurz said Austria would host an EU summit on migration on Sept. 20, noting his government, in coalition with right-wing Freedom Party, has been working to prevent mass flows of refugees into Austria from the Balkans since 2015. Enditem
