French shares drop 0.6 pct on Tuesday

PARIS, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.60 percent, or 30.82 points, to close at 5,109.24 points.

Altogether 30 of the 40 selected large companies lost in the day.

French luxury goods holding company Kering tumbled 3.95 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Oil and gas firm Technipfmc was down 2.18 percent. French tire manufacturer Michelin edged down 2.08 percent.

French multinational advertising and public relations company Publicis Groupe advanced 3.77 percent, the top gainer of the day.

Steel giant ArcelorMittal gained 2.16 percent, while European multinational aerospace and defense corporation Airbus Group was up 0.76 percent. Enditem
