CMC vice chairman visits former senior army officials

BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Youxia, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), on Tuesday visited retired senior military officials to offer greetings ahead of the Spring Festival.

Zhang extended New Year greetings to the seniors, as well as the organizations and individuals that serve retired officials, ahead of the Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on Feb. 16 this year.

During the visit, he stressed the importance of providing active and comprehensive services to senior servicemen.

Zhang said the retired officials are a valuable asset to the Party and the army, and it is the duty of the army to take good care of them. Enditem
