French shares gain 1.20 pct on Monday

PARIS, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Monday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 1.20 percent, or 60.85 points, to close at 5,140.06 points.

A total of 39 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

French international luxury group Kering advanced 3.57 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French car manufacturer Renault gained 3.02 percent. French European multinational luxury goods conglomerate LVMH rose 2.96 percent.

Only loser of CAC 40 in the day is Airbus Group, the European multinational aeronautical corporation, which lost 1.22 percent. Enditem
