NEW DELHI, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- A major fire broke out at a shoe factory in the Indian capital Monday, officials said.

"The blaze started on the ground floor of the factory in Delhi's Narela Industrial Area and soon engulfed the floor," Atul Garg, chief fire officer, told the media.

There have been no reports of any casualty in the fire so far, he said, adding that some six fire tenders have been pressed into service to douse the flames.

A probe has been ordered into the incident, the official added.

The incident came after 17 people were killed in a massive fire at a fireworks factory in the national capital last month. Enditem
