CAIRO -- At least 10 terrorists have been killed on Sunday during a police raid in Arish city of Egypt's North Sinai province bordering Israel and the Palestinian Gaza Strip, a security source and medics told Xinhua.

The raid comes while the country is launching a massive counterterrorism anti-terror campaign named "Comprehensive Operation Sinai 2018" that started on Friday. (Egypt-Terrorist-Raid)

DAMASCUS -- China will play a bigger role in the reconstruction and development process in the war-torn Syria through increasing its aid, Chinese Ambassador to Syria Qi Qianjin said Sunday.

NEW YORK -- An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted 146km ESE of Rota, Northern Mariana Islands at 23:14:18 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

WASHINGTON -- The White House said Sunday that a senior advisor of U.S. President Donald Trump visited Turkey on Feb. 10-11. The visit came amid escalating tensions of the two NATO allies over Turkey's attack in Afrin, Syria.

MEXICO CITY -- Mexican authorities have rescued 229 migrants and arrested six suspected people smugglers in the northern state of Tamaulipas, authorities announced on Sunday.
