LUSAKA, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Sunday.

-- Zambia has received 5,000 refugees since January 2017, with the biggest number coming from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Commissioner of Refugees Moses Mawere said the figure was alarming, with indications so far showing that it will continue increasing. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- Prison authorities in Zambia have dismissed a report by the World Prison Brief that the country's correctional facilities were ranked fourth in the world in terms of congestion at 303 percent.

Zambia Correctional Services spokesperson Maggie Nawa while acknowledging that the facilities were overcrowded, noted that the report was total exaggeration. (Daily Nation)
