SHIBERGHAN, Afghanistan, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Police in Afghan northern Jawzjan province discovered 70 kg opium from a car and arrested two persons on charge of smuggling on Saturday, deputy to provincial police chief Abdul Hafiz Khashi said Sunday.

"Two drug smugglers were attempting to take 70 kg of opium from Balkh to the northern Faryab onward to abroad but police fortunately discovered the contraband from a car on the highway in Jawzjan province and arrested the smugglers," Khashi told Xinhua.
