Police bust illegal casino in south China

NANNING, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Police have busted an illegal casino in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, seizing 104 gamblers and 535 gambling devices.

The casino was found in a mountain in Bolao Township of Lingshan County. Six suspects have been detained by police for opening the casino.

According to the Public Security Bureau of Lingshan County, the casino was opened on Jan. 27, 2018, attracting over a hundred gamblers daily. The casino used buttons as the gambling tools and was under strict management. It also has a canteen and a bar.

Police are further investigating the case.

Gambling has been illegal on the Chinese mainland since 1949. Enditem
