Inflation in Belarus stands at 0.8 pct in January

MINSK, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Inflation in Belarus in January 2018 stood at 0.8 percent, the National Statistical Committee of Belarus said on Friday.

In January, prices for food products increased by 0.8 percent, prices for non-food products also increased by 0.8 percent, and prices for services increased by 0.5 percent compared with December 2017, the Statistical Committee said.

Belarusian government plans inflation will not exceed 6 percent in 2018.

In 2017, inflation in Belarus was 4.6 percent with a forecast of 9 percent. Enditem
