ACCRA, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Three people, including budding Ghanaian musician with the stage name Ebony Reigns died early Friday in a car collision in Ghana, police have confirmed.

Police said the crash happened near Sunyani, 400 km north of the capital Accra, where the jeep carrying the late musician collided head-on with a VIP branded bus.

Deputy Superintendent of Police John Adusei, Mankraso District Commander, said the body of the 20-year-old singer, the unidentified military man and another friend of hers had been deposited at the Bechem Government Hospital morgue.

Ebony Reigns, whose real name is Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, came to the musical limelight with her hit tracks "Poison" and "Kupe," but also drew negative attention with her semi-nude dressing on stage.

The musician was billed to embark on her maiden European tour on Saturday. Enditem
