PYEONGCHANG, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand's Tiarn Collins, one of his country's medal hopefuls at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, will miss the men's snowboard slopestyle event after suffering a shoulder injury.

A New Zealand Olympic Committee spokesman said on Friday that 18-year-old, who fell during a training session the previous weekend, was being withdrawn from the men's slopestyle qualifying on Saturday after failing to respond to treatment.

But he is still hopeful for entering inaugural men's big air competition on 21 February. Enditem
