Lebanon foils attempt to smuggle drugs at Beirut airport

BEIRUT, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- The Beirut International Airport police arrested on Thursday a woman over charges of drug smuggling, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

According to the report, the police searched the woman's luggage and found amounts of narcotic hidden in boxes of desserts.

The woman was trying to smuggle the drugs to Brazil, it added, pointing that she was referred to the judicial authorities. Enditem
