Aerial skier Tsuper to be flag-bearer for Belarusian team in PyeongChang

MINSK, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Olympic Aerial skiing champion Alla Tsuper will be the flag-bearer for the Belarusian team at the opening ceremony of the 23rd Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus said on Wednesday.

"The flag-bearer is usually an experienced, famous and recognizable athlete. Alla Tsuper is the most suitable candidate," said Alexander Baraulya, chief of the Belarusian delegation to the Winter Games in PyeongChang.

At the Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver, this role was assigned to Oleg Antonenko (ice hockey). It was Alexei Grishin (aerial skiing) at the Winter Games in Sochi in 2014. Enditem
