French shares gain 1.82 pct Wednesday

PARIS, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 1.82 percent, or 94.09 points, to close at 5,255.90 points.

A total of 39 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

European aeronautic giant Airbus advanced 3.99 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French international luxury group Kering rose 3.82 percent, and French multinational luxury goods conglomerate, LVMH, gained 3.75 percent.

The only loser Sanofi, a French multinational pharmaceutical company, went down by 1.20 percent. Enditem
