Guangzhou beat Jilin to enter CBA playoff

CHANGCHUN, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Guangzhou entered the playoffs after beating Jilin 124-96, while Aolong edged Bayi at 95-93 in the 36th round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Wednesday night.

Sani Sakakini and Fan Ziming helped Guangzhou take the lead in the first quarter and Jilin answered with a counter-attack in the second quarter. However, Jilin failed to cut the gap in the next half.

With five players scoring double digits, Guangzhou beat Jiiln 124-96 and entered the playoffs for the first time in history.

The game between Bayi and Aolong was intense in the opening before Aolong managed to get a 61-48 lead in the second quarter. Then Fu Hao led Bayi overtake the lead in the last quarter. With a three-pointer missing at last, Bayi was edged by Aolong at 93-95.

In other matches played on Wednesday, Qingdao beat Tongxi 120-107, Fujian smashed Sichuan 131-105. Enditem
