Several injured in NW Pakistan blast

ISLAMABAD, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Several people were injured in a blast in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of Bajaur agency on Wednesday, local reports said.

Proscribed organization Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan claimed the attack in an email to local media, Samaa News said.

The target of the attack was a pro-government peace militiaman, who got injured in the explosion carried out by some unknown militants in Charmang area of the Agency located along Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The injured people have been shifted to a nearby hospital. Enditem
