Chinese shares open higher Wednesday

BEIJING, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.25 percent to open at 3,412.74 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 1.79 percent higher at 10,563.31 points.

On the previous trading day, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,370.65, down by 3.35 percent, while the Shenzhen Component Index plunged 4.23 percent to 10,337.61. Enditem
