German shares lose 2.32 pct Tuesday

FRANKFURT, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 294.83 points, or 2.32 percent, to close at 12,392.66 points.

German reinsurance company Munich Re lost the most among the blue chips, down by 4.44 percent, followed by Deutsche Bank and insurance and financial services company Allianz, which lost 2.83 percent and 2.56 percent respectively.

Deutsche Post, multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and German airlines Lufthansa were the top three winners, rising 1.65 percent, 0.96 percent and 0.50 percent respectively.

Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 697.81 million euros (860.32 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
