Spanish shares plummet 2.53 pct Tuesday

MADRID, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares plummeted on Tuesday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 2.53 percent or 254.50 points, to 9,810 points.

A total of 34 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

Telecommunication company Cellnex lost 4.21 percent, being the top loser of the session. Infrastructure company ACS went down 4.01 percent and Spain's energy company Iberdrola fell 3.96 percent.

Only renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa rose, going up 0.56 percent.

Meanwhile, motorways operator Abertis A went down 0.41 percent and supermarket chain DIA lost 0.42 percent. Enditem
