BEIJING -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 3.35 percent, at 3,370.65 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 4.23 percent lower at 10,337.61points.

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the Cambodia Securities Exchange Index up 0.16 point, or 0.05 percent, to close at 335.18 points.

A total of 21,151 shares worth 104.5 million riel (26,019 U.S. dollars) were traded.

VIENTIANE -- The Lao stock market closed on Tuesday up 0.57 percent compared to the previous trading day.

The Lao Securities Exchange composite index increased by 5.46 points to reach 956.06 points after closing.

SEOUL -- Seoul shares ended lower on Tuesday.

MUMBAI -- Indian markets closed lower Tuesday. Sensex cracked below the 34,000 mark by plunging about 1,275 points in opening trade this morning mainly due to sell-off in world markets.
