Latvian violinist Gidon Kremer to perform in Beijing

BEIJING, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica, led by celebrated Latvian violinist Gidon Kremer, will perform at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing on Thursday.

Kremer has a worldwide reputation as an artist.

He has recorded more than 120 albums, many of which have received prestigious international awards, including the 2016 Praemium Imperiale.

Kremer founded Kremerata Baltica in 1997 to foster outstanding young musicians from the Baltic States. The ensemble tours extensively and has recorded almost 30 albums.

The orchestra has performed in more than 50 countries. Enditem
