Egypt condemns deadly suicide attack in Pakistan

CAIRO, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Egypt condemned on Monday a terrorist suicide attack that killed 11 Pakistani army officers and soldiers.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry voiced support in a statement for the Pakistani people and government in the face of terrorism, wishing the injured quick recovery.

"Egypt urges for collective international efforts to eradicate terrorism that targets security and stability across the world," the statement read.

Up to 11 Pakistani army officers and soldiers were killed and 13 others injured Saturday night in a suicide blast inside an army unit in Pakistan's northwest Swat district.

The outlawed militant group of Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. Enditem
