YAOUNDE, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- At least six people were killed in an attack by the terror group Boko Haram on Sunday night in Cameroon's Far North region, a local source told Xinhua.

Five men and a pregnant woman were killed and two others were injured in the attack, which occurred in the Mayo-Tsanaga division of the Far North region, according to the source, who wanted to remain anonymous.

The attackers also burned houses and churches during the attack, which lasted about an hour, until the intervention of government troops, added the source.

Cameroon's Far North region, which borders the stronghold of the terror group in neighboring Nigeria, recorded in January alone 26 deaths in about 30 Boko Haram attacks. Enditem
