Spanish shares drop 1.44 pct Monday

MADRID, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 1.44 percent or 146.70 points, to 10,064.50 points.

A total of 32 of the selected 35 large companies fell in the day.

Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas lost 3.85 percent, followed by supermarket chain DIA and chemical and pharmaceutical company Grifols that went down 3.17 percent and 2.81 percent respectively.

Steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal advanced 1.30 percent, the top gainer of the day, while Spanish bank Banco Sabadell rose 0.98 percent. Enditem
