PYONGYANG -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Monday confirmed the attendance by a high-level delegation of the opening ceremony of Pyeongchang Winter Olympics this week.
"A high-level delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea led by Kim Jong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, will soon visit South Korea to attend the opening ceremony of the 23rd Winter Olympics," said the official Korean Central News Agency. NICOSIA -- Cyprus's incumbent President Nicos Anastasiades comfortably won a second term in a runoff election on Sunday against leftist presidential candidate Stavros Malas, according to election results.
With all ballot papers counted, the electoral service said that Anastasiades garnered 55.99 percent of the vote, with Malas trailing with 44.01 percent. (Cyprus-Election)

WASHINGTON -- South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster said the Amtrak passenger train appeared to be on the wrong track when colliding with a CSX freight train in the southern U.S. state early Sunday, leaving at least two people dead and 70 injured.
"They weren't supposed to be meeting like that, clearly," he said at a press conference. "It appears that Amtrak was on the wrong track."(US-Train crash)

RABAT -- Moroccan coast guards have recovered the bodies of 16 migrants off its northern coast near the Spanish enclave of Melilla, local media reported Sunday.
