CAPE TOWN, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- The following are news items in South African major news outlets on Saturday.

-- A counter march, to "defend" the African National Congress (ANC) and newly elected ANC President Cyril Ramaposa is being planned for Monday.

The march is to be held to counter the "Hands Off Zuma" campaign planned by Black First Land First (BLF) and other organizations, defending President Jacob Zuma's continued stay as head of state. (News24)

-- The organizations involved in the "Hands Off Zuma" campaign are threatening not to vote for the African National Congress (ANC) in 2019 if their demands are not met.

The 12 groups have arranged a mass demonstration at ANC headquarters in Johannesburg on Monday demanding amongst other things that President Jacob Zuma remains in his position until he fulfills the promises made when he took office. (Eyewitness News)

-- Parliament Speaker Baleka Mbete has finally announced a date for the motion of no confidence against President Jacob Zuma to be tabled on February 22.
