German shares lose 1.41 pct Thursday

FRANKFURT, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 185.58 points, or 1.41 percent, to close at 13,003.90 points.

European health care company Fresenius SE lost the most among the blue chips, down by 4.28 percent, followed by manufacturing and electronics company Siemens and renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical, which lost 3.76 percent and 2.99 percent respectively.

European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1, Commerzbank and automotive manufacturer Volkswagen were the top three winners, rising 0.75 percent, 0.42 percent and 0.36 percent respectively.

Automotive manufacturer Daimler was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 517.74 million euros (645.05 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
